Last Minute Company Dessert-Affogato

I love that it covers all bases for an after dinner treat. Coffee and a sweet without leading me to a bottle of Tums and filled with regret. This is a dessert that does not take a lot of time to prepare, but still feels special. Pick your vessel, scoop in some vanilla gelato, and poor coffee over in front of your guests. Serve with a biscotti or some chocolates. Consider a topping. I made use of a little whip and some heath bar crunchies that I had in stock. You could top with some cinnamon and cacao. Vanilla is the classic flavor, but go with what you love that goes with coffee. I will tell you, as long as you have the espresso (or strong coffee) and some gelato, you have a winner!
